Regent Seven Seas Unveils Immersive Culinary Concept For Seven Seas Prestige

With just six months to go until the launch of Regent Seven Seas’ first Prestige-class ship – Seven Seas Prestige – new details surrounding the ship’s culinary programme have been unveiled—and it’s good news for the epicurean traveller.

Regent Seven Seas recognised that growing numbers of cruisers are opting to discover new destinations through food and drink and accordingly developed a culinary concept for their Explorer-class ships that has proved incredibly popular. We can now reveal that this same concept will be introduced aboard Seven Seas Prestige, with a choice of 64 culinary workshops and 25 gastronomic shore excursions breathing new life into each destination’s heritage and culture.

All cooking classes will take place in the state-of-the-art, professional-grade Culinary Arts Kitchen, a serene space inspired by the world’s most prestigious cooking schools. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame panoramic ocean views, whilst eighteen fully-equipped cooking stations have everything you need to bolster your kitchen skillset. Of course, the pièce de résistance of this space is its staff, a team of experienced chefs and instructors, each handpicked by Kathryn Kelly, Regent’s Executive Chef and Director of Culinary Enrichment. The Kitchen will host a variety of two-hour workshops, with prices starting from $129 per guest.

“Our goal is to give guests the opportunity to explore cuisines, ingredients and culinary traditions inspired by the destinations we visit, while enjoying a fun, social environment where stories and experiences are shared,” said Kathryn Kelly. “Along the way, we introduce the techniques professional chefs use every day, helping guests build a repertoire of recipes and skills they can confidently recreate at home.”

Highlights of the culinary class programme include:

  •  A gastronomic journey through Australia, beginning with the vitamin-rich food of the Aboriginal people right through to the unique Euro-Chinese fusion cuisine popular among Australians today.
  • A Latin-American extravaganza, elevating simple fare with zingy flavours (and plenty of cocktails!)
  • A deep dive into the cleanest cuisine on earth with a Mediterranean workshop, cooking your way through Italy, Greece, Spain, Turkey and more.

And that’s just for starters.

Epicurean Explorer Tours allow guests to see each port through a foodie lens, with an array of chef-led market tours and Michelin-star restaurant visits. Back on board, the adventure continues with complementary workshops and tastings.

Highlights include:

  • A visit to Barcelona’s famous La Boqueria and Santa Caterina Markets, followed by a cava tasting.
  • An authentic tapas tasting experience in Bilbao.
  • A Palma de Mallorca olive farm tour.

The best part is that all classes and tours are limited to 18 guests of fewer, guaranteeing an intimate atmosphere and highly personalised service.

“The popularity of discovering destinations through food is undeniable; this is why we have placed a strong emphasis on epicurean enrichment on board Seven Seas Prestige,” says Wesley D’Silva, president of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. “Our Culinary Arts Kitchen experiences are a must for any foodie and with no more than 18 guests, the classes and tours are a testament to the personalised attention our guests can expect”.

Seven Seas Prestige is set to launch in December 2026 and will accommodate 822 passengers, largely sailing the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.
