Silversea Announces Recategorisation of Suites

In an effort to further hone their luxury offering, Silversea have recently announced a fleetwide fine-tuning of their suite system.

Essentially, they’ve taken their 17 different suite types and organised them into four wider categories, as follows:

-              Oceanview – The entry-level suites comprise Panorama and Vista Suites, which feature wide windows with sweeping views rather than balconies.

-              Veranda – This category includes Premium Veranda, Deluxe Veranda, Superior Veranda, Classic Veranda and Veranda Suites. Each one has a private balcony, perfect for soaking up those ocean views in perfect tranquility. 

-              Residence – The Residence suites include Junior Grand, Signature, Silver, Medallion and Premium Medallion Suites, each one divided into a separate bedroom and living area. 

-              Villa – The highest tier of suites, Villas include Otium, Master, Grand, Royal and Owner’s Suites. These are the largest suite category, with separated living and sleeping areas, sizeable private terraces and Technogym equipment.

All suite guests will enjoy a dedicated butler service, dining, drinks, 24-hour room service, Wi-Fi, port fees, taxes and tips. Anyone staying in a Residence suite or higher will also benefit from priority embarkation plus the chance for early bird bookings: 210 days before sailing for spa treatments and 150 days before sailing for dining. If the sailing is an expedition cruise, these guests will also have priority access to things like kayaking excursions and Zodiac safaris.

Guests staying in any of the Villa Suites will receive all of the above, as well as early suite access and a welcome escort. In addition, they will have the exclusive opportunity to meet with the ship’s sommelier, chef and spa manager in order to pencil in epicurean experiences and wellness activities, tailor-making the perfect voyage. At this time, Villa guests can also arrange specialty experiences such as whiskey tasting, stargazing evenings, afternoon tea and chef-led dinners. Furthermore, Villa guests will also have access to Silversea’s Destination Experts from booking to beyond, allowing them to book excursions, hotels and pre- and post-cruise extensions.
