My first Ultra-luxury cruise was unforgettable

This was my first time trying a smaller ultra-luxury ship and Explora Journeys did not disappoint! I set myself a challenge to consume as many calories as possible… and this was the perfect place to do it. Plenty of space onboard to relax, no fighting for sun loungers or busy pools, everything was incredibly laid back and the staff always going above and beyond to make sure there’s a cocktail in your hand. It was unlike any cruise I had experienced before.

Favourite dining experience aboard

Although every meal was incredible, my experience in Sakura was out of this world – The duck starter accompanied by the slow cooked short rib for main was the ultimate combination. They opened for lunch so I of course had to try this out too, the beef tataki with a creamy wasabi and spinach base was full of flavour.

Yet a special shoutout to Marble and Co is needed, as on 3 separate nights I tried a different steak (which where all divine) but the filet mignon has to be your first choice!

My favourite destination on this incredible itinerary

We visited the beautiful Greek isles, Kusadasi was stunning. I walked through the markets by the ports with lots of authentic shops and I headed towards the stunning beaches 45 minutes from the port and it did not disappoint with some amazing views. We left the port as the sun had set and we had the most incredible views from the infinity pool at the back of the ship showcasing this beautiful town.

My favourite aspect of my suite on board

This has to be the best lead in suite category on offer, the room was spacious and comfortable, in suite dining 24 hours a day. Something as simple as the automatic calm lighting appearing on the floor when you step out of bed in the night, so many small details that sets the suites apart. There is plenty of room on the balcony to have room service ordered at breakfast

Why I would recommend Explora Journeys

If you’re considering making the jump from a big ship to a smaller ship, high end experience, Explora Journeys will blow you away, everything onboard is well thought out to the smallest of details. If you’re a big foodie like me this is heaven. There is plenty of entertainment with shows and events on throughout the day, this really is worth every penny!
