Have you tried Atlas Ocean Voyages?

First thing is first - the Atlas Ocean Voyages ship is absolutely stunning! Not only that but it only carries a maximum of 196 guests. She is predominantly an Expedition ship, however this was a warm water voyage and had a feel of a mix between an Expedition and a River Ship. The atmosphere was relaxed and immersive and the itinerary was very destination focused, navigating into ports that larger ships would simply be unable to reach.

Our Stateroom

We stayed in a Veranda Stateroom on deck 5 and it was very stylish and the décor was contemporary. The room was very spacious for two of us with more than enough storage space, extremely comfortable beds and a pillow menu!

The complimentary mini-bar was restocked daily and our room also had an In-room Nespresso coffee machine which was perfect for the early mornings. Our cabin steward was amazing, he kept the room in pristine condition and visited twice a day. The bathroom was stocked with beautiful L’Occitane products which were heavenly and definitely emphasised that ultimate luxury atmosphere onboard Atlas.

Dining onboard

The food on board was delicious, the main dining area served either buffet or A la Carte breakfast, buffet lunch and A la Carte evening meal. There was an amazing choice each evening and a full plant-based menu, fantastic for any vegans who are in any doubt as to whether their needs will be met!

The desserts were also delicious, a diet is definitely required upon return!

My favourite breakfast was poached eggs and avocado on beetroot black bread, it was to die for! I think our favourite dining area was Paula’s Pantry, although really small it was a lovely little touch, with the most amazing coffee and delicious pastries, a welcome touch on return to the ship after a day on shore. Paula’s also served a “health shot of the day” which varied each day, they were really delicious and little health kick to counteract the pastries.

Atlas facilities

The pool area was amazing and never too busy, there was a main pool alongside two jacuzzies, food was also available around the pool in the afternoon allowing you to relax in the luxury haven without having to lift a finger - how a holiday should be!

I visited the complimentary spa on one occasion which was lovely with such impressive floor to ceiling sea views from the sauna. It was lovely to sit and relax on sea day when the weather wasn’t so great.

Evening entertainment was very laidback and low-key which was perfect for this cruise and very relaxing after a day exploring.

Overall I had an amazing time onboard with Atlas, they made the experience magical with everything from dining, facilities, staff, service and so much more. I definitely recommend this voyage and this incredible cruise line!
