Azamara Announces 2028 World Cruise

Six continents, 40 countries, 91 ports…it may sound like an impossible cruising fantasy, but Azamara’s 2028 World Cruise is here to turn your wildest travel dreams into a reality. In fact, bookings are already open for the adventure of a lifetime.   

Setting sail in January 2028, guests will call the luxurious Azamara Onward – fresh out of her ‘Azamara Forward’ makeover – home for 175 nights, if they choose to sail the voyage in its entirety. Of course, there’s no obligation to do that, as the itinerary’s 14-segment structure means you can opt for just part of the journey, sailing just one segment or combining two or three for the Grand Voyage of your dreams. 

One of the most impressive feathers in Azamara’s cap is their reputation as the cruise line with the most time spent in ports, worldwide. Their World Cruise very much lives up to this distinction, with 44 late nights and 24 overnights in the schedule.  This of course eliminates the need for flying visits and ‘quick-let’s-tick-off-the-top-10-things-to-do-in-an hour’ but also allows guests to see these bucket-list destinations through a different lens, immersing themselves in late-night street food markets, candlelit concerts and evening walks along glowing skylines.

The voyage will also comprise stops at over 15 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, plus the line’s famous deck parties, local entertainment offerings and 14 AzAmazing Evenings. Par for the course on every Azamara voyage is the line’s famously warm service and delectable cuisine, and the World Cruise is no different. Onboard, guests will enjoy an ever-changing re   ional menu inspired by the flavours and ingredients of the ports visited, all paired with locally sourced wines and beers.

Kicking off in Miami, the cruise will first explore the Southern Caribbean and Latin America, before sailing the Panama Canal. From there, it’s a hop, skip and a jump across the Pacific to Tahiti, Bora Bora, Australia and New Zealand. The next segment will take guests up to Asia, with stops in Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Sri Lanka, later heading south to South Africa, Namibia, the Canary Islands and Morocco. The cruise will wrap up in Europe, stopping in Spain, Italy, Croatia, the French Riviera and Turkey, before eventually wrapping up in Athens in June.

As well as the selection of sought-after hotspots and off-the-beaten-track gems, the thing that makes this cruise extra special is the fantastic array of overland experiences on offer.
