Seven Seas Navigator No Longer Leaving Regent Seven Seas

All good things must come to an end…right?

Well….

Perhaps not all things.

A few months ago, we wrote a blog detailing Seven Seas Navigator’s scheduled departure from the World’s Most Luxurious Fleet, following over 25 years of service with Regent Seven Seas. Safe to say, there was more than a little upset following the announcement, with many guests mourning the years of cherished memories, happy times and lifelong friendships yet to be made aboard their ‘second home’.

With that said, we couldn’t be more delighted to come back to you today with an update, direct from Regent Seven Seas themselves.

It turns out that some things are just a little too good to wave goodbye to—and it would seem Seven Seas Navigator is one of them.

Although a statement from Chief Luxury Officer, Jason Montague asserted earlier this year that ‘the time has come to bid adieu to this wonderful ship’, it has become apparent that the line underestimated the special place Navigator holds in the hearts of many a cruiser and were caught short by the outcry that arose following news of her exit.

This week, a new statement reads, ‘Having received so many wonderful messages and guests sharing their fondest memories – many emotional at the thought of never being able to sail their second home again – I couldn’t be happier that we will provide more luxury travellers the opportunity to sail on this beautiful ship’.

As members of the luxury cruise industry, we know better than anyone that everybody needs a little TLC from time to time—and the same goes for the ships themselves. Rather than exiting the fleet entirely, Seven Seas Navigator will enjoy some deserved time off at the end of 2026, briefly retiring to a dry dock for a multi-million-dollar makeover before returning to the Regent Seven Seas fleet, brighter, better and more luxurious than ever. Itineraries have yet to be announced, but keep your eyes peeled to be among the first to set sail aboard the new and improved Navigator.

On top of the stylish interiors, intimate atmosphere and extensive amenities that have gained the ship her legions of loyal fans, Navigator is set to be kitted out with enhanced public spaces, refreshed suites and modernised lighting and furnishings. If that wasn’t enough, guests can look forward to an even more expansive choice of dining venues, with a brand-new pool grill and wood-fired pizzeria set to make an appearance on board.

And of course, this isn’t the only big news for Regent Seven Seas. Navigator’s upgrade is one of several planned refurbishments for the line, with Seven Seas Mariner and Seven Seas Voyager set to receive similar enhancements early next year. Most excitingly of all, 2026 marks the launch of Regent’s first Prestige-class ship, Seven Seas Prestige, featuring new-to-brand suite categories and never-before-seen public areas such as the Starlight Atrium and Azure restaurant.

For anyone keeping score, this will bring the World’s Most Luxurious Fleet to seven ultra-luxurious ships (not including the line’s second Prestige-class ship, set to debut in 2030) sailing to over 550 destinations worldwide.

All in all, it’s a pretty good time to be a Regent Seven Seas fan. We’d watch this space if we were you….
