What Goes on Behind the Scenes of a Cruise Ship?

Well, that all depends on where the ships are sailing! Across the eight episodes, we’ll catch glimpses of breathtaking destinations like the Panama Canal, the Caribbean, South America, and North Africa.

Each hour-long episode dives into different aspects of three voyages, including Holland America Line’s first full season sailing from Dover in over a decade. The series pulls back the curtain on the round-the-clock teamwork, meticulous planning, and seamless coordination needed to keep a modern cruise ship running smoothly.

Who Will We Meet Along the Way?

From hardworking crew members sharing their personal stories to guests indulging in unforgettable on-board and on-shore excursions, the show captures both the grand scale of cruise operations and the small touches that make a holiday at sea so magical.

Which Exciting Destinations Will Feature?

Whilst the drama of keeping a cruise ship afloat is one of the most exciting draws of the show, it also turns our televisions into little portholes through which we get to see some of the planet’s most dreamy destinations. It’s jam-packed full of creative excursion ideas, so make note for when you set sail yourself.

We’re talking about rum tasting in the Dominican Republic, horse riding on Half Moon Cay, and sustainable farms in Madeira.

The success of these shows highlights the growing fascination with cruise holidays and the diverse adventures they offer, from luxury river voyages with Uniworld to ocean explorations with MSC Cruises.
