Rhodes Old Town or Lindos?

If you haven’t already visited Greece it is a MUST.

Most people are keen to add Mykonos or Santorini to their bucket list, but forget about the equally as gorgeous smaller islands. Rhodes is a stunning old medieval port that offers a rich historical experience. You can visit places like the Street of the Knights, the Palace of the Grand Master, and the Acropolis of Rhodes.

There are so much to visit in Rhodes Old town you would need to come back to visit it all! If history is your bag here are my highlights you have to visit!

Palace of the Grand Master, Street of the Knights, Archaeological Museum of Rhodes.

Personally I loved Lindos, it’s a great alternative if you have already visited Rhodes and is only an hour's drive into the heart of Lindos from Rhodes cruise terminal.

Lindos-town

There is so much to do in Lindos it’s worth the visit. You can enjoy gorgeous small crystal blue water beaches in Lindos Beach or if you would like a more secluded beach you can take a small walk to visit Saint Paul's Bay.

Lindos Village offers a delightful array of local cuisine, blending traditional Greek flavors with unique regional specialties. We enjoyed a perfect lunch that overlooked the Acropolis and the gorgeous sea! There are so many rooftop bars and restaurants in Lindos that have the perfect viewpoints.  I love shopping in local towns and Lindos is a shopaholic's dream, there are local greek boutiques, unique handmade jewelry the list is endless.

acropolis

If you love historic buildings then you can walk up to the Acropolis of Lindos (or if you aren’t soak in the views from all around!). Explore this ancient fortified citadel with its Doric Temple of Athena Lindia.
