What are the kids facilities like on EXPLORA I?

Charlie Clarkson is 12 years old. He recently embarked on a voyage with his parents aboard the ultra-luxury Explora Journeys ship, EXPLORA I. We asked him to review Nautilus Club, the onboard kids’ club where children and teenagers can chill out while their parents are… chilling out! Here’s what he had to say.

My time in the Nautilus Club really was excellent. As soon as I walked in, I was met with a comforting welcome by the lovely hosts who really settled me in for the week to come. Board games, video games, pool, table football—what do I play first?

Everything from the furniture, lighting and just simply how everything looked really made me feel as if I was at home. After the hard decision of what to play first, I finally settled with the video games. As I logged on to the PS5 I couldn't believe how many games the club had, every game I could think of was there. Now this is the hard part, what game do I play?

Well, I couldn't decide so I thought I would go to one of the hosts to ask for any suggestions. That's when I met Mo, soon to become my best friend of the whole trip. Mo was an excellent host, as was his colleague, Fatima. Both hosts really looked after me well and ensured that they gave all of the children their full attention and entertained us with lots of different games and activities. It really was so much fun!

Now you may be thinking, well this is all well and good, but what if the children want to get some fresh air? Well, this was my favourite part.

There was an option to have dinner with the hosts in the evening, so on a couple of occasions I did just that and dined with the Nautilus Club. After we had been taken to dinner by our hosts, they would take us up to the sports court. Football, Basketball, pickleball—you name it. Every night we played different games, but my personal favourite was when we played a pickleball tournament!

Another favourite evening was when I got to watch Gran Turismo on the pool deck at night under the stars!... I really did make some amazing memories.

Thank you Mo, Fatima and EXPLORA I Nautilus Club, I had the best week sailing around the Greek Islands with you and hope to be back again soon.
