Picture Diary: We really loved Oceania Vista's Aquamar Spa

Oceania Cruises' Vista not only charts a new course to alluring ports of call, but also reveals new paths to wellness through the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Centre. Their first purpose-built, holistic wellness centre serves as the foundation of their commitment to well-being, shaping the entire Oceania Cruises experience. Rejuvenating treatment areas, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a spacious new salon have all been devoted to personal journeys of wellness.

The highlight of this extravagant facility is the Aquamar Spa Terrace: A deck in the open air adorned with comfortable loungers, plunge pools, and whirlpool spas, all offering calming views of the sea. Prior to a spa treatment, guests can relax on the terrace to prepare their minds and bodies, or they can linger there afterward to indulge in the tranquil ambiance.

Our cruise connoisseur Catherine was lucky enough to experience it for herself…

The spa area and wellness centre on-board the new Vista ship is just as lovely as I was expecting! The new and improved Aquamar Spa + Vitality Centre provides a luxurious sanctuary, with a vast array of different treatment areas, a spacious salon, a state-of-the-art gym, wellness centre and a firm guest favourite, the private spa terrace (which is exclusive to the concierge cabins and above).

Let’s start with the private spa terrace, which is absolutely beautiful! I had high hopes, having heard lots of amazing feedback from my customers who regularly sail on the Riviera and Marina. When I walked out onto the deck, I came across a huge, sweeping terrace which stretched along the whole of the front of the ship. The panoramic sea views are phenomenal. I was really impressed with the amount of deck space on offer. There is an endless choice of sunbeds, and private areas to go and relax in, along with a couple of jacuzzi pools. The highlight for me has to be the huge outdoor spa pool, which is probably one of the biggest I have seen. The terrace is such a lovely space to go and relax and unwind in when you fancy getting away from the busier areas.

Oceania Cruises promote a Wellness at Sea programme, offering complimentary fitness classes, ranging from sunrise yoga, pilates, core conditioning, HIIT classes, and boot camp style classes. There are also one-on-one personal training classes available.

Overall, there is something to suit all ages and abilities which is fantastic. I’ve personally never been one to visit a gym on board, however I was extremely tempted by the 45-minute yoga class which took place each morning at sunrise!

On the very top deck, is a running track and sports deck, which again offers panoramic ocean views. You can partake in activities, including paddle tennis, shuffleboard, and an 18-hole golf putting green. There were a few guests enjoying these activities during sea days.

And then there is a brand-new dining option, the Aquamar Kitchen! This new concept which is exclusive to the Oceania Vista promotes wellness inspired indulgence. It’s a fantastic restaurant, open for breakfast and lunch with no reservations required.

At breakfast, the menu includes smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and energy bowls, while at lunch you can choose from a vast choice of healthy but flavoursome dishes including avocado toast selections, gourmet salads, wraps and the popular poke bowls. We indulged in poke bowls and avocado toast which were absolutely delicious. To reflect the wellness-inspired dishes, the drinks menu features a selection of premium, award-winning non-alcoholic wines from Pierre Zero from France, as well as some refreshing mocktails.
