My honest Regent Seven Seas Grandeur review

On my trip around beautiful Italy, we stayed in one of the stunning concierge suites onboard Grandeur.

I was blown away by the size of our cabin and one of my favourite things was that the bed faced our veranda so each morning we got to wake up to the most beautiful views. There was plenty of storage space and the best lighting, which may not seem important but to us ladies, it makes all the difference! The spacious bathroom had a large walk-in waterfall shower, a separate bath and two sink areas. As you walked through the cabin you had a full floor-to-ceiling mirror that covered the length of the corridor which then linked onto your dressing table. I loved stepping onto the balcony, which is a very generous size compared to most, you have two fully reclining chairs with a table to sit back and enjoy the incredible views. The cabin came equipped with a personalised mini bar, a Dyson hair dryer and unlimited WiFi. I also love the luxury feel of being welcomed by a bottle of champagne!

Restaurants, bars and lounges aboard Regent

The ship had an incredible range of lounges, bars and incredible restaurants. In my opinion Regent have some of the most amazing restaurants at sea and we made sure to try as many as we could.

On our first evening, we were hosted for welcome drinks in the grandeur lounge, this seemed to be the most popular place on board for a pre-drink before your dining reservation and also where you can listen to an array of music being performed by the resident band. I tried out some of Regent’s specialist cocktails and danced the night away in the luxury lounges.

Compass Rose was the first place we dined, which is the main restaurant on board. I have never seen a more luxurious dining room before, with neutral tones throughout with crystals, Versace dining sets and the most attentive staff! A little touch I liked is that if you forgot your glasses there was no need to head back to your cabin or squint and struggle to read the menu, they have a selection of glasses to choose from so that you don’t need to. I saw that they had linguine on the menu and another dish including a pesto sauce. I asked If it would be possible to have the linguine dish with that pesto sauce from the other dish and that is exactly what I got!

Prime 7 is an American steakhouse that has a range of different grilled steaks, chicken dishes, fish, and vegetarian options for you to choose from. The steaks melt in your mouth and the array of sides to choose from is never-ending. We chose to get one of each to share so we could try them all. It is highly recommended for you to pre-book a reservation here. Prime 7 opens at 06:30 pm every day.

However the star of the show for me was, Pacific Rim! A new Pan Asian option which again is highly recommended to pre book. A real Zen-like ambience, beautiful décor and the service was just as impressive. Savouring the flavours of Asia the exquisite menu will make you want to try everything and why not, we did! This dining option is open from 06:30 pm daily.

The Constellation Theatre is the main show lounge. This is a Broadway-style theatre featuring big production shows from the resident cast or guest entertainers each evening. We went to the Marauders show which was pirate-based and I would highly recommend going to see If shown whilst you are on board. It was a great laugh, and will get you singing and dancing along with the cast.

Facilities onboard

Onboard the luxury ship there are two pools one on deck 5 and another on deck 11, a fitness Centre, Spa and beauty salon which will make you feel truly pampered, relaxed and rejuvenated on your time away. However, one of the best things about Regent is that shore excursions are included in your cruise! Each excursion has been carefully crafted and organised so that you truly experience the destination you are visiting. Shore excursions do get booked quickly so we recommend pre-booking once these are available to avoid any disappointment.

One of our ports was Dubrovnik so we chose to do the Game of Thrones guided tour which took you to many famous sets where scenes from the award-winning series were filmed. This was a very special day for me, as I am a huge fan of the show and the guide was incredibly knowledgeable which made the experience even better.

Regent Seven Seas Cruise highlights

The highlights of my cruise and what I loved most would have to be the décor throughout the whole ship. It was pure luxury, no costs were cut when designing grandeur, and she is elegant, calming, and breathtaking.

The staff on board are exceptional, nothing they can do to make your trip memorable and like nothing you have experienced before they will do. After just being on board a few hours, staff members knew my name, what I liked, and what I disliked. Overall, I would recommend this cruise to everyone, I loved it!
