What was Seven Seas Grandeur really like?

On June 23rd, 2025, I had the incredible opportunity to sail aboard the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur from Southampton to Liverpool – it truly was a beautiful ship that offers the wow factor. From the moment I stepped aboard the Regent Grandeur, I was struck by its sophisticated ambiance. The décor feels more like a luxury boutique hotel than a traditional cruise ship. What truly stood out, however, was the service. Regent truly delivers on its promise of all-inclusive luxury, and all the staff members on board do truly want to make your experience onboard memorable.

This itinerary and ship are ideal for travellers who enjoy a blend of cultural exploration and refined relaxation. Whether you’re a seasoned cruiser looking for elevated comfort, or a first-timer seeking an all-inclusive luxury experience, this ship caters to a variety of audiences – including families!

I stayed in one of the Concierge Suites, and the upgrade was well worth it. Larger accommodations including a more spacious balcony, and priority reservations for dining and excursions made the experience feel even more exclusive.

The shore excursions were a major highlight of this itinerary. Regent includes unlimited shore excursions in the fare, and the quality of each tour was exceptional. A standout moment was sitting in a local Irish Bar listening to Traditional Irish Folk music and Irish dancing – a truly unique experience. Each excursion was well-organized, with knowledgeable local guides who brought the destinations to life.

The Ship offers a variety of speciality dining restaurants which offer exceptional food which you can’t help but tell others about.

They offer standout dishes which you just want to eat time and time again. If it’s the Black Miso Cod in Pacific Rim, the Surf and Turf in Prime 7 or The Duck Confit in Chartreuse, it was elevated fine dining with striking décor and bold flavours.

The Serene Spa & Wellness was another gem – especially on those colder wet days. You could use their facilities anytime including their Multisensory Aromatherapy Steam Room, Sauna and Chill Room.

Other offerings Regent has on board included a beautiful theatre with nightly performances, including their own production team, Live singers and performers which makes the perfect way to end your busy day. The variety of lounges on board give guests different options to finish their evening, if it’s the live pianist in the Observation Lounge or Karaoke in the Grandeur Lounge, there’s plenty going on every night and you’ll struggle to want to retire for the evening.

My cruise aboard the Regent Seven Seas Grandeur was nothing short of exceptional. It struck the perfect balance between exploration and indulgence. whether you’re drawn by the culinary excellence, the cultural excursions, or the unparalleled service, this cruise offers a luxury experience that would make you want to rebook time and time again.
