Introducing Travelmarvel Rigel

With just over a month to go, excitement is building for the upcoming launch of new Travelmarvel ship, Travelmarvel Rigel. As the big day draws nearer, the line has revealed some new details about the vessel—keep reading to find out more!

Accommodating 182 passengers across 91 cabins, Travelmarvel Rigel is scheduled to launch on June 30, cruising the Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers alongside sister ships Travelmarvel Polaris, Travelmarvel Capella and Travelmarvel Vega. However, she will primarily operate a new 8-day Moselle River itinerary, taking guests from Basel to Amsterdam with stops in the Black Forest, Cologne and the charming town of Strasbourg, among others.

Christened ‘Rigel’, after the brightest star in the Orion constellation, you’ll find that the ship more than lives up to her namesake, boasting the same spacious accommodation and thoughtfully designed public spaces that have made Travelmarvel a fixture of the river cruising scene.

Constructed with an easy-to-navigate deck plan, everything guests need for an immersive yet relaxed getaway can be found neatly contained within four decks. Comfortably ensconced amidst floor-to-ceiling windows, sophisticated design features and an array of perfectly-placed public areas, guests will find no shortage of spots to enjoy a drink, to enjoy the views, to enjoy socialising with fellow cruisers or to simply sit and enjoy a quiet moment on board.

When it comes to dining, options are similarly varied. Enjoy three meals a day in the Constellations Restaurant, which offers a four-course epicurean experience, shining a spotlight on regional specialities. For more casual grazing, guests can head to the True North Lounge’s buffet (also a popular spot for Afternoon Tea or pre-dinner cocktails!) or McGeary’s Bar for pub-style fare.

Outside of eating and excursions, you’ll find a selection of amenities aboard, designed to entertain and foster a connection to the great outdoors. These include a putting green, a walking track, a fitness centre, a panoramic view-framed Alfresco Lounge and an expansive sun deck, complete with loungers, bar and whirlpool.
