Cunard's Celebration in Liverpool

For the first time in history, the luxury cruise line Cunard has made a huge announcement that all four of Cunard’s ships will all line up together for the first time docking in Liverpool.

All four ships, Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Anne will come together on the 16 May 2028, and it’s promised to be an unforgettable occasion for Cunard. They will stand next to each other at the River Mersey in Liverpool and history will repeat itself where Cunard’s story began in 1840.

There is even more to celebrate, as Queen Mary 2 arrives, it will have completed her first transatlantic crossing from New York to Liverpool, an avenue that is unseen for Cunard’s ships in over 60 years. This occasion has multiple celebrations, in honor of commemorating Liverpool’s designation as the European Capital of Culture twenty years ago! Cunard’s big return in May 28, is coming to light as a centerpiece of celebrations for Liverpool.

Guests and visitors are welcome with the opportunity to take part in what’s said to be a ‘once in a lifetime moment’. The last time all Cunard’s ships stood in line next to each other was in 2015, however this is expected to be an even bigger event. Richard Meadows, president of Cunard, North America, said he was "moved by the incredible reception" from the public, stating the event “paid tribute to the people who created their 175 years of shared history’’ in 2015 after the big event.

“This unique visit of all four Cunard Queens will be an extraordinary event and I’m sure will be eagerly anticipated by local people and visitors alike. Our City Region was built on its maritime strengths and it is fitting that the four Queens should come together here for the first time in Cunard’s spiritual home.”’
