What to wear on an Azamara cruise

Aboard Azamara luxury cruises, a friendly yet sophisticated style is taken by guests. Azamara takes a laid back approach to dress code on board, with no requirement for formal attire.

Azamara dress code

Azamara recommends everyone pack a light sweater or windbreaker to wear in the early mornings and during the evenings as they are often cooler times of the day with the sea breeze. Activewear includes trainers for a variety of activities both aboard and on shore.

For shore excursions Azamara recommends a more modest and conservative style to be taken into account, as the items of clothing need to be suitable for museums or cultural sites such as beautiful ornate churches.

Don’t forget to pack a white outfit for their White Night event!

Azamara dress code during the day

Azamara asks guests to cover up in public spaces such as lounges or restaurants.

Keeping with the relaxed tone, a shirt over your bathing costumes will suffice, but guests are asked not to enter speciality dining areas barefoot. In order to maintain a respectful style throughout the entire ship these items of clothing are also not allowed to be worn in any restaurants or lounges: Baseball caps, tank tops, bathing suits or torn or distressed jeans or shorts.

Azamara dress code in the evening

During the evening, guests are able to be flexible with their outfit choices as formal attire is not a necessity, but a choice for guests. Azamara have given suggestions for both men and women on what to wear for the evening:

Women are recommended to wear casual and or formal dresses, knit tops, skirts, blouses, capris and pants. Men can opt for collared polo shirts, golf shirts, shorts, slacks and trousers. Azamara notes that Tuxedo rentals are not available onboard.

In conclusion Azamara does not have a strict dress code and would prefer you to be comfortable whilst aboard. This allows you to enjoy your time without worrying about the guidelines given from the cruise.
